Salamander are the premier makers of domestic pumping solutions on the market next to Grundfos.

These pumps are designed solely to boost the hot and cold water supply to thermostatic mixing valves and manual shower mixing valves.

Here they have designed a shower pump that goes by the nick name ‘Fit and forget’. They obviously back themselves to design pumps that do the job and are very reliable. Indeed we have fitted a number of these pumps and never had a problem.

Both pumps have twin outlets and are of compact design. The CT50 is designed to pump one shower with a conventional type shower head and can operate under a 50ft head (1.5bar) or a Victorian type pan head. The CT75 is slightly stronger and can supply a shower with multiple body jets and massage functions. This pump can work with a 75ft head (2.1bar).

Installation:

The pump itself is mounted on rubber feet to prevent the noise of vibration and is supplied with flexible connectors for easy pipe installation. Small gause filters are inserted where the flexible hose connects to the pump body. They are easily removed and cleaned. Both pumps can be installed using 15mm and 22mm pipe.
The electrical installation will require a 13amp fused spur. The pump has a water proof connection block for the 240V live supply, neutral and earth.
