Overview:
The Amazon range of pump is one level up from the Nile model. The models in this range are much more powerful than those in the Niagara and Nile ranges. By using a low speed induction motor Grundfos have increased pump life while reducing pump noise.
The Amazon range has brass impellors which can withstand the higher speeds required. Indeed, Grundfos themselves refer to this range as their ‘Rolls Royce’
All the models are fitted with long life carbon graphite ceramic seals.
They come in three versions; the 1.2 Ti* bar pump, the 1.5 Ti bar pump and the 1.5 Si** bar pump (relating to their outlet pressure). The Nile range of pumps will only supply one shower.
All Nile models are covered by a comprehensive 2 year warranty.
TIP: Remember shower pumps cannot be supplied by a mains water supply. They must always be tank-fed.
Installation:
The pump itself is mounted on rubber feet to prevent the noise of vibration and is supplied with flexible connectors for easy pipe installation. Small gauze filters are inserted where the flexible hose connects to the pump body. They are easily removed and cleaned. Both pumps can be installed using 15mm and 22mm pipe.
The electrical installation will require a 13amp fused spur. The pump has a waterproof connection block for the 240V live supply, neutral and earth.
TIP: If your pump is situated ABOVE the feed tank a negative head pack is available.
