The Magnaclean professional water treatment device

The Magnaclean pro is a water treatment device designed to remove the tiny particles of oxidized metal from heating system water. It is generally thought that even a small build up of these particles reduce boiler efficiency and can cause pump and motorised valve failure. Also if these particles build up in a radiator it can lead to the bottom of the radiator being cold as the sludge will not allow any flow through that part of the radiator. Magnaclean is the answer to removing this debris from your system water and increasing the life of your heating system components.

We have fitted loads of these Magnacleans. They do a great job and are easy to install. Using the sludge removing liquids and additives just don’t work. The Magnaclean actually removes the sludge.

How to Install a Magnaclean:

1. Turn off all components in the heating system electrically.
2. Isolate the water feed to the heating system and drain the heating system.
3. Identify your installation site. The best place is on the boiler return. Never install between the boiler flow and expansion pipe. For 22mm cut out a 105mm section and for a 28mm cut out a 190mm section of pipe.
4. Prepare your pipe fittings and valves so they fit to the Magnaclean.
5. Remove the Magnaclean being careful not to move your pipe. Solder the pipe.
6. Once cooled, fit your Magnaclean to the valves ensuring the rubber washers are inserted.
7. Fill the system and check for leaks.

How do I service a Magnaclean:

1. Turn off all components in the heating system electrically.
2. Close the valves on the Magnaclean
3. Release the pressure using the bleed screw
4. Unscrew the lid and turn upside down.
5. Wrap the debris in a cloth and remove the magnet.
6. Clean the debris away.
7. Re-assemble, open valves and test for leaks.

How do I inject water treatment using a Magnaclean:

1. Turn off all components electrically
2. Close the valves on the Magnaclean.
3. Release the pressure using the bleed screw then remove the bleed screw altogether.
4. Insert the treatment nozzle via the bleed screw hole, open the valves and begin to insert treatment.
5. When all the treatment has gone into the system, shut the valves and remove the treatment nozzle. Re-insert the bleed screw and open the valves.
